Almond Bar with Cocoa
A small homemade almond and cocoa bar with dates. Extra moisture is added only if needed.

- 20 g almonds
- 15 g soft pitted dates
- 5 g unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tsp water, as needed
- 1 pinch salt

Grind the almonds
Finely process the almonds in a small blender until only tiny pieces remain.

Bind the mixture
Add the dates, cocoa and salt and pulse. If the mixture cannot be pressed together, add up to 1 teaspoon of water drop by drop.

Shape the bar
Place on baking paper, press firmly into a bar about 1.5 cm thick and straighten the edges.

Chill
Chill for at least 30 minutes so the bar can firm up.
Tip
Scale the recipe for several bars, as a large jug blender may struggle with a very small batch.
